Tonight we had our good friends visit from Wellington. We toasted marshmallows at the fire pit and the kids all had to get a toasting stick. Here is Flynn yelling “Ive got mine where are the marshmallows”

My two eldest boys are very different but they love sharing a room (most of the time), one thinks and reads  a lot and the other,  laughs, jokes and jumps all over his brother.  So I took the two for a shoot in the old car in the field across the road from our house.  Well their personalities certainly shined tonight.

This cot has done all 5 children and over the years it has been given the name  “baby jail”.  In the ten years that we have had the ‘baby jail’ no one had ever managed to escape.  That was until giant baby #5 came along.  He has escaped not once but twice both times by lying on his back and kicking on the bars until one breaks and then squezzing out between the bars to freedom (mischief).

Photo a day Challenge: Day 8.  These are my two eldest this time not being gangsters!   Keeghan wants to read his Harry Potter Book on the couch, while Declan  just wants to cuddle his brother to death.

Photo a day – Day 6:  We went to the beach late today as we all got a little sunburnt yesterday.  I wanted some shots of my girls dancing on the beach.  I think we are so lucky to have this gorgeous beach at  the bottom of our hill.  I got one frame with them together then they were gone off  in all directions.

Well all I have to say is boys boys boys aren’t they great.  Here is KJK and DFK.

Well its January and a group of us photographers try and do a photo a day.  So I have started and my subjects are my five children.  I am really bad at new years resolutions so here’s hoping I stick with this one.  If you are a blog follower but never comment please do as I will need some motivation to keep this going for a month.  So here are the first 2 days photos.  I hope you enjoy.

I had such great hopes of getting the kids together for a festive photo but it just didn’t happen with a crazy busy run up till Christmas.  Now that things have slowed down a little. Here is the gorgeous  Caitlin to wish you all a Happy and Safe New Year.  For those of you that know about the very short haircut she got from her sister you will be pleased to see her hair is slowly growing back.

When I arrived  at my shoot scheduled on the beach in Kakanui with a strong Southerly blowing, I was blown away to find that my concerns about the wind wern’t a worry as the dad in this family is a kite surfing champion, and the family love the wind.  I love shooting people with enthusiam and spark and this family had that in abundance.  Something makes me think this little girl is going to end up a kite surfing champion too!!.
