I just love photographing flowers and having a little fun with textures and lighting in photoshop.  This is my lovely brides gorgeous wedding rings.  So again sorry it was not shot today but it was created today as it looks nothing like the original shot.  I hope you enjoy it,  there is something so beautiful about simplicity.

Thursday, January 14th, 2010

Fairy God mothers in our house are very special people they are our children’s God parents but due to the dramatic and imaginative nature of our children they have become known as “Fairy God Mothers”.   So yesterday we had our eldest sons Fairy God mother come to visit and have a sleep over.  Of course this had to be the photo of the day with a little reluctance from the fairy god mother in question!!  Thanks for being a good sport and just look at how happy your godson is!!!

Country Boys

Monday, January 11th, 2010

My two eldest boys are very different but they love sharing a room (most of the time), one thinks and reads  a lot and the other,  laughs, jokes and jumps all over his brother.  So I took the two for a shoot in the old car in the field across the road from our house.  Well their personalities certainly shined tonight.

Carving art out of stone

Sunday, January 10th, 2010

I have a very good friend who is a very talented carver, and mother to 4 teenagers (busy lady). She does her carvings usually traditional Maori type carvings out of Oamaru stone.   This is her workspace I just loved the old stool and box with the tools waiting there to be used.

Baby Jail: Day 9

Saturday, January 9th, 2010

This cot has done all 5 children and over the years it has been given the name  “baby jail”.  In the ten years that we have had the ‘baby jail’ no one had ever managed to escape.  That was until giant baby #5 came along.  He has escaped not once but twice both times by lying on his back and kicking on the bars until one breaks and then squezzing out between the bars to freedom (mischief).
